Acting head of Racing Victoria Integrity Services appointed
14 Nov 2017 | ThoroughbredNEWS News Desk

Tim Robinson, Racing Victoria's Head of Investigations and Intelligence, has been appointed Acting Executive General Manager - Integrity Services as an interim replacement for Dayle Brown.

After a decade with RV, Brown resigned to take up other challenges and has since been appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Greyhound Racing NSW.

Brown will conclude his duties with RV on November 30.

The search for a full-time replacement for Brown continues and RV Chief Executive, Giles Thompson, paid tribute to the departing integrity head.

"Dayle's commitment to RV and the integrity of Victorian racing has been exemplary," Thompson said.

"He has worked tirelessly to ensure our industry has been at the forefront of technological innovation and rule changes to provide a level playing field for all and will be missed.

"The search for Dayle's full-time replacement is well advanced and we will have a seamless transition with the appointment of Tim Robinson as our acting head of integrity services.

"Tim has been an integral member of our integrity services team for the past four years after a distinguished law-enforcement career."

Thompson also responded to claims that RV was not doing enough to bolster the management of integrity services in racing.

"Integrity is the lifeblood of our industry and why RV is proud to invest significant money and resources to protect the integrity of our sport," Thompson said.

"I have consistently spoken publicly and, just as importantly, to all our stakeholders about the importance of integrity and also the fact that we are lucky in this state to have a team that works so hard every day to maintain the integrity of our sport.

"Our integrity team do an incredible job and work tirelessly to ensure a level playing field for participants and customers alike.

"This will continue unchanged from 1 December under the leadership of Tim Robinson."
