RACE 1: TAB Rewards Handicap 1200m

Luiza – trainer C Waller reported that he was satisfied with the post race condition of the filly and that an endoscopic examination performed on Luiza did not reveal any abnormalities. Mr Waller further advised that the filly would barrier trial prior to its next race start.

RACE 1 – Ascot Restaurant Plate 1200m

Jay 'N' Ava – began awkwardly. When being restrained in the early stages got its head up and raced keenly for some distance.

Sepoy Acheva – raced keenly in the middle stages after being crossed by Duchess Pedrille.

Metamorphic – A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 2 – All Too Hard @ Vinery Handicap 1550m

All Too Soon – to be ridden further forward and to lead if possible; settled worse than midfield. When questioned rider G Schofield stated that the filly, after being fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly and as a result settled further back than the stable had intended. He said when the tempo slackened in the middle stages he attempted to improve after the 600m, however when both Let it Roll and and Hypnotist shifted out to improve All Too Soon was taken wider as a result. G Schofield added that All Too Soon made the home turn awkwardly and because of this he allowed it to balance up in the early part of the straight before placing his mount under full pressure passing the 200m whereby the filly then commenced to shift out over the latter stages. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Regal Cannon – to be ridden further forward; led in the early stages then settled off pace near 1100m.

Uncle Rodriguez – when caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward and assume the lead passing the 1100m.

Hypnotist – passing the 500m was bumped by Let It Roll resulting in the colt become briefly unbalanced.

Nathula – on straightening when endeavouring to shift to the outside of Hypnotist shifted out and made contact with Let It Roll.

RACE 3 – TAB.COM.AU Handicap 1250m

Gitan – began only fairly.

Young Huit – passing the 1000m was eased to avoid the heels of Gitan (K Latham) which shifted in when not clear. K Latham was advised to exercise more care. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider B Spriggs stated that the gelding raced keenly in a forward position throughout the early and middle stages. He stated that his mount was then inclined to hang out passing the 600m and added that in his opinion the gelding may have come to the end of its preparation. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer M  Smith undertook to report back on the future racing plans for Young Huit.

Reach For Heaven – laid in under pressure over the final 200 metres obliging its rider to pull the whip through to his right hand approaching the 50m.

Awoke – raced greenly in the early part of the straight.

Mackellar's Love – approaching the 100m was inconvenienced by Reach For Heaven which shifted in.

Intueri – when questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider K Jennings stated that although obliged to race three wide without cover throughout the event the gelding never travelled on today's rain affected track. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 4 – Winx Is Coming Handicap 1200m

Banuelo – after being slow to begin from its wide barrier was shifted in across behind runners in the early stages. Laid out making the home turn and inside the 400m became unbalanced and raced tight to the inside of Nahema.

Star Reflection – slow to begin. Was unable to obtain clear running until approaching the 100m.

Nahema – raced keenly in the middle stages. Approaching the 500m became unbalanced when briefly crowded between Star Reflection and Perizada which shifted in slightly.

Balmain Boy – began awkwardly. Passing the 1400m was crowded by Imperator Augustus which shifted in slightly. When questioned regarding the performance, rider apprentice N Heywood stated that the only explanation he could offer was that the gelding did not handle today's heavy track conditions. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Star Wars – after being fractious in the barriers began awkwardly. Rider apprentice J Innes Jnr reported that he lost the use of his nearside iron for a short distance after the start.

Kiseki Dane – was crowded shortly after the start between Quick Defence and Cocktail Time which began awkwardly and shifted in. When questioned regarding Kiseki Dane settling outside the leader Imperator Augustus, T Berry stated that he was under no specific instructions on how to ride the horse, however anticipated taking up a position without cover behind the leaders. He stated that he rode his mount forward in the early stages and when it became apparent that he was unable to obtain cover he rode his mount forward and ultimately raced outside the leader. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg. Co-trainer J Lee was advised that a veterinary clearance must be produced prior to Kiseki Dane's next race start.

Was inclined to lay in in the straight and over the concluding stages was unable to be fully ridden to the line when racing in restricted room between Eccellere and Star Crossed.

Loverboy Charlie – hung out badly making the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Stable Representative S Alexiou was advised that Loverboy Charlie would now incur the mandatory three months ban from racing. Mr Alexiou was also advised that Loverboy Charlie must barrier trial prior to racing again.

Legerity – Stable representative T Rouse was advised that in view of the beaten margin, Stewards ruled that a veterinary clearance must be produced prior to the colt's next race start.

Rogue Missile – was a late withdrawal at 2.39pm due to the track downgrade.

Tip Top – began only fairly. Raced keenly in the middle stages and then passing the 800m got its head up when being restrained  away from the heels of Boys Day Out. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Bon Equus -  soon after the start became detached from the field despite its rider's endeavours  and from the 700m took a  considerable amount of time in which to make up ground.

Boys Day Out – approaching the 200m was momentarily crowded between Erins Zar and Viceroy which shifted in marginally.
