Benalla race meeting transferred due to extreme rain forecast
30 Nov 2017 | Racing Victoria
Racing Victoria (RV), in consultation with the Benalla Racing Club, advised on Thursday morning that it will transfer Saturday's race meeting at Benalla to Saturday, 9 December due to extreme rainfall predicted for the region this weekend.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast heavy and consistent rain across the region on Friday and Saturday with up to 200mm expected to fall across the two days.

In lieu of this, RV and the Benalla Racing Club have agreed that the meeting will be transferred to Saturday, 9 December.

Trainers need to renominate for the 9 December Benalla meeting and may do so prior to the close of nominations at 12pm on Monday, 4 December.

In addition, nominations have been reopened at Terang on Monday and Wangaratta on Tuesday for those trainers who nominated at Benalla up until 2pm today.

RV, in consultation with the respective race clubs engaged to race across the weekend, will continue to monitor the weather and advise of any further updates accordingly.
