SINGAPORE SEPTEMBER MEETING 2017
SUNDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER 2017:

RACE 3 [TF1128]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 10 October 2017, Jockey M Rodd , the rider of GOLD REWARD, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding GOLD REWARD in Race 3 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 10 September 2017, over the concluding stages, he allowed his mount to shift outwards, whilst riding it along, resulting in RAPTOR (B Vorster) having to be checked.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness.

Jockey Rodd was suspended from riding in races with immediate effect from Tuesday, 10 October 2017 to Sunday, 15 October 2017 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
