12 Jun 2017 | Singapore Stewards

SINGAPORE JUNE MEETING 2017
FRIDAY, 09 JUNE 2017:

RACE 6 [TF734]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Sunday, 11 June 2017, Jockey M Kellady, the rider of MR SCORSESE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding MR SCORSESE in Race 6 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 09 June 2017, near the 500m, he allowed his mount to shift outwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby resulting in GUILTY PLEASURES (J Powell) having to be checked.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Kellady that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 16 June 2017 and Sunday, 18 June 2017.

The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 19 June 2017 until Monday, 26 June 2017 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
