Russian Rhythm's half-sister to sell
23 Aug 2002 | The Swain half sister to spectacular Group 2 Peugeot Lowther Stakes winner Russian Rhythm is to be sold at this year's Tattersalls October Yearling Sale which takes place October 15th to 19th.
The filly from the second crop of dual Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Swain is to be consigned by Ted Voute who sold Russian Rhythm at last year's Tattersalls Houghton Yearling Sale for 440,000 guineas to Cheveley Park Stud.
Unbeaten after three starts including the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes as well as the Group 2 Lowther Russian Rhythm consolidated her position as favourite for next year's Sagitta 1000 Guineas with quotes as low as 3-1, while Swian's first crop includes the impressive first time out Listed winner Muqbil, who currently heads the market for the 2003 Vodafone Derby at 14-1 after his debut win at Newbury.
The Tattersalls October Yearling catalogue is now available online and will be published on Friday 30th August. In total the catalogue numbers 927 lots with for the first time the stronger lots selling on the opening two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Sale continuing to be graded until its conclusion on the Saturday 19th October.
