Selections preview for Pukekohe
15 Dec 2010 | by Jeff Dore

PREVEW

WEDNESDAY December 15 2010

Counties Racing Club at Pukekohe
Cloudy and Good3 (2.3 – 2.5)
Rail: out 3 metres

Horses previewed in numerical order

Race 3             Rating 70 2200m

7 NO EMOTION – Vinnie Colgan
Close second to Street Siren at Ellerslie over 2200m on Good3, he returned to form second-up from a spell with a strong run for third to Bone Of Contention at Ellerslie over 1600m on Good3 prior. At the corresponding meeting last year he won his Maiden in a fashion to suggest he could win additional races and a touch of luck in running should allow him to force the issue.

8 KULLU – Leith Innes
Beaten a short head by Ebony And Ivory over 1600m on Good3 at the last meeting here, December 1, with this rider aboard. He steps up in distance for the first time in this campaign and has the added benefit of blinkers on. His dam won in Australia over 2100m in December and he has the ability to threaten.

14 DESTINY COVE – Jason Collett
Freshened since being denied room in the straight at Dargaville in a race won by Annie over 2000m on fast going, she won her Maiden here on the home track over a mile, albeit on heavy footing. Racing here at her previous start she encountered a few interruptions when attempting a run through the pack before hitting the line solidly for sixth to The Terminator over 1600m on Dead4. With the likelihood of an economical run from a handy draw she could make her presence felt.
