Selections preview for Pukekohe
01 Dec 2010 | by Jeff Dore

PREVIEW

WEDNESDAY December 1 2010

Counties Racing Club at Pukekohe
Fine and Good2 (2.0 – 2.2)
Rail: out 3 metres

Horses previewed in numerical order

Race 7             Rating 80 (Fillies and Mares, 1400m)

2 THE BEEKEEPER – Jason Collett
She exuded class to blow her rivals away when untouched coming from back in the field to win fresh-up at Dargaville over 1200m on fast footing, with this rider aboard. Up in weight but down in grade for this first assignment on her home track, she has a good record over 1400m and from a handy draw should prove competitive.

3 LOVISTE – Alvin Ng (2)
She resumed from a spell with a big performance to overhaul the talented Make A Wish at Tauranga over 1200m on Good2, with this rider aboard. She won over 1400m in January before finishing second to Fazzle, both on good footing, and from a handy gate she has the ability to threaten if suitably improved.

8 DEVERRA – Opie Bosson
While expected to improve with the run, having not raced for 179-days, her two course attempts have been rewarded with a win and a second. She has recorded her three victories over 1400m, has the services of a top rider, and from barrier one should receive an economical trip to threaten if up to the task fresh-up.
