26 Nov 2010 | by Jeff Dore

PREVIEW

FRIDAY November 26 2010

Otaki-Maori Racing Club at Otaki
Premier meeting
Fine and Good3 (2.3 – 2.5)
Rail: True

Horses previewed in numerical order

Race 3             Rating 90 2300m

3 AULD LAND SYNE – Lisa Allpress
When second-up from a let-up he rounded off solidly for a close second at the last meeting here over 2100m on Good3, for this rider. Emerging as a talent through the winter, it appears he has been aimed at this race. Stepping to 2300m should suit, as too barrier one, and he displayed ability when winning his solitary trial on good footing before scoring on debut.

7 TWOEEZY – Opie Bosson
He continued his solid form through this campaign with a fourth to Little Alfie Brown at Te Rapa over 2000m on good going. From off the pace he sprinted to lead then burst clear to win in this grade at New Plymouth over 1800m on Dead6 three starts ago, with this rider aboard, while he has the pedigree to suggest 2300m should prove within range.

11 PENTRIDGE – Jason Collett
Under an excellent ride, he worked clear off a genuine pace to win over this 2300m journey at Awapuni on Good3. The speed rating for the race indicated he should develop into a good staying type, backed up by the talented performers within his pedigree. Likely to be kept relatively safe in the market, he appears capable of making an impression immediately in this grade.
