Race 8             Ormond Spring Classic (WFA, Group I) 2040m

2 WALL STREET – Michael Coleman
He kicked clear when asked after racing outside the leader to win the Windsor Park Plate here over 1600m on Slow8, having missed winning the Mudgway by a nose here over 1400m on Slow8 when resuming from a spell at his previous start. He steps up in distance to 2040m for the first time and has a wide draw to overcome, but should appreciate improved footing to again make an impact.

11 VELOCE BELLA – Craig Grylls
Eye-catching making ground from last for sixth to Wall Street when resuming from a spell in the Windsor Park Plate here, she recorded a hat-trick of wins during a purple patch of form earlier in the year. A gifted mare with an immense turn of foot when given a trip to suit, drawing barrier one should help her chances no end, and as a previous group one winner she has the ability to figure.

13 KEEP THE PEACE – James McDonald
Fought hard for third to Wall Street in the Windsor Park Plate, she had resumed from a spell with a fine example of her talent when winning the Mudgway here over 1400m on Slow8. The New Zealand Oaks winner over 2400m last season, her trainer Shaune Ritchie suggested she was a little dour for the mile second-up, and she should appreciated stepping to 2040m.
