Sydney jockey Blake Shinn was on Wednesday given the all-clear to resume riding after breaking his neck and has predicted he will be back competing by the end of January.
Shinn, 31, said on Twitter said he will riding trackwork on Thursday and at the Randwick trials on Saturday. It was at Randwick trials back in Auguest where Shinn fractured his C1 and C3 in his vertebrae after a fall.
He returns at the right time to start securing prime rides for the Sydney Autumn Carnival.
I’ve just been the given the all clear by my doctors. I’ve been working hard and feeling fit. I’ll be doing trackwork tomorrow followed by trials on Friday with a view to resume race riding towards the end of the month. Thanks to everyone for your overwhelming support. #cantwait— Blake Shinn (@blake_shinn) January 8, 2019
