A 25% share in Caulfield and Melbourne Cups nominee Mustajeer (GB) has sold to Richard Pegum for $320,000 through the Inglis Digital Online Sale platform.
Pegum said the opportunity to buy into the Ebor Handicap winner who is guaranteed a Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) start in 10 days’ time was too good to refuse.
“To purchase an in-form horse for a big race this close to the race, it is very exciting,’’ Pegum said.
“I have been able to buy many horses before but this is one of the most well credentialled imports I’ve ever bought.’’
