Designer Dance– from a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages.  Approaching the 150m was steadied when buffeted between Conspirator, which was taken out by Peloso Lass when that runner endeavoured to obtain a narrow run between Conspirator and Greenspan.  A short distance later Pauper (T Berry) shifted in, which resulted in the tightening to Designer Dancebeing exacerbated due to the shift of that runner.  T Berry was reprimanded and advised that he must make a greater effort to stop riding and straighten his mounts when they commence to shift ground.  Rider App. J Van Overmeire stated that, after receiving interference approaching the 150m, his mount commenced to weaken from that point and was somewhat disappointing.  A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Princess Cordelia – when questioned regarding the mare leading today, rider T Clark stated that from the inside barrier he had anticipated taking up a handy position with cover.  He said, after commencing fairly, he elected to make use of the barrier and to hold out Tale Of The Kraut as he did not believe it was advantageous to follow that runner throughout the race.  He added that as a consequence Princess Cordelia led when no other runner in the race showed intent to go forward and obtain that position.

RACE 4:  John R Turk Shop Online Save Time Handicap 1300m

He's A Hotshot – the gelding was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 1.28pm after being fractious in the float and sustaining multiple abrasions and wounds to the top of the pelvis and sacrum.  Stable representative ???? was told a veterinary clearance would be required prior to He's A Hotshot barrier trialling or racing again.

Brazilica – began awkwardly and then was crowded on jumping between Alison Of Tuffy and Sheriff, which shifted out.  Rider J McDonald advised that, whilst he was able to take up a handy position on the mare without having to make too much use of his mount, he felt that it raced too far forward and would be better suited being ridden quieter.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be 1/5 lame in the off-foreleg.  Trainer Mr C Waller was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to Brazilica barrier trialling or racing again.

In Good Health – slow to begin.  Over the final 200m laid in.

Alison Of Tuffy – bumped with Brazilica on jumping.

Jen Rules – from a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages.

Sauve – approaching the 300m was steadied from the heels of Alison Of Tuffy (T Berry), which shifted out.  T Berry was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.  Rider J Parr reported that the gelding raced one-paced today and he told connections that it may be advantaged by being stepped up in distance.

Vitesse – over the final 100m laid in and proved difficult to ride out.

Invinciano – rider T Clark stated that his intention was to be more forward, however, the mare did not show the speed that he had expected and particularly in the middle stages was unable to cross Coterie, which resulted in Invinciano being forced to raced wide and without cover throughout the event.  He added that, given the wide run the mare endured, he was not too disappointed with the performance.  A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Coterie – rider B Avdulla stated that, with blinkers being reapplied today, the gelding was agitated before the race.  He said that his mount was able to obtain a comfortable position outside the lead, but was under pressure on the home turn and weakened badly over the final 100m.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed gelding to be displaying a poor post-race recovery.  Trainer Mr G Ryan was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to Coterie barrier trialling or racing again.

Invictus Salute – lost its off-fore plate in running.

Tamarack - Stewards permitted C Reith to ride the gelding 1kg over its allotted weight of 53kg.

House Of Cartier - Stewards permitted B Avdulla to ride the mare 0.5kg over its allotted weight of 53kg.  Rider B Avdulla advised that he had to make some use of the mare in the early stages to take up a forward position closer to the rail.  He said that his mount travelled satisfactorily in the run, however, failed to respond to his riding in the straight.  A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.  Trainer Mr J Sargent advised that House Of Cartier will undergo a veterinary examination on Monday 2 December, where blood samples will be taken from the mare. Mr Sargent undertook to report back to the Stewards the results of those examinations and its future race plans.

Tumultuous – rider O Orr was permitted to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allotted weight when no other rider was available.  O Orr was fined $100 under AR190(3).

Artarmon – from a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages.

Admire Winner – raced wide and without cover throughout the early stages, before being allowed to improve forward and settle outside the leader near the 1000m.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 2/5 lame in the off-foreleg.  Trainer Mr C Waller was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to Admire Winner barrier trialling or racing again.

Grey Lion – leaving the 1600m Emperor's Way was steadied to avoid the heels of Tamarack (C Reith), which shifted in when not fully clear.  As a result Grey Lion, which was following, was steadied to avoid the heels of Emperor's Way and at the same point then made contact with Black And Gold, resulting in both Black And Gold and Grey Lion becoming unbalanced.  C Reith was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.  Rider K O'Hara stated that her mount endured a wide run without cover, but was nevertheless disappointing in that it was under pressure a long way from the finish.  She added that in her opinion Grey Lion may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.  Trainer Mr M Smith advised Grey Lion would now be spelled.

Renewal – blundered near the 1400m.  A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Bobbing – when questioned regarding his riding from the 600m, rider J Innes Jr stated his instructions were to allow the gelding to settle back in the field with a view to shifting to the outside in the straight to provide it with clear racing room.  He said, after settling towards the rear of the field, he was positioned to the inside of Mr Garcia and had anticipated that runner to either improve or to give ground, which would have afforded him the opportunity to shift out.  He added that when Mr Garcia maintained its position directly to his outside, he was unable to shift out when positioned behind Testashadow and Sambro and as a consequence was badly held up between the 400m and the 200m.  J Innes Jr further stated that inside the 200m he was obliged to steady his mount and shift to the outside of Mr Garcia, whereby Bobbing obtained clear running at the 150m, where it was able to be balanced and finished the race off strongly.  After considering his explanation, Stewards found that J Innes Jr had not ridden his mount in an unreasonable manner, given his instructions and his positioning in the middle stages of the event.

RACE 8:  Drinkwise Starlight Stakes (Listed) 1100m

Handle The Truth – Stewards permitted N Rawiller to ride the gelding 1/2kg over its allotted weight of 54.5kg. Near the 1000m became awkward on the heels of Spending To Win and had to be steadied. T Berry, rider of Baller, was found guilty of a charge under AR131(a)) in that near the 800m he permitted his mount to shift in, resulting in Handle The Truth losing its rightful running and being checked.  T Berry's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday, 8 December 2019 and to expire on Saturday, 14 December 2019, on which day he may ride.

Stryke Rock – began awkwardly.

Destiny's Hero – slow to begin.  Near the 800m was checked when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of Tunero (J McDonald), which was inclined to lay in at that point.  Stewards found that the racing manners of Destiny's Hero was the principal reason for the interference, however, J McDonald was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Devlann – slow to begin and then was crowded between Our Winnie and Got Unders, which shifted in.

McCormack – near the 1400m blundered and became unbalanced.

Got Unders – raced wide and without cover throughout the event.

Tunero – when questioned regarding his riding in the straight and as to whether there was an opportunity to improve to the outside of Orcein sooner than he did, J McDonald stated, after following Orcein into the home straight, his mount, which had been inclined to lay in, was not travelling strongly to a point where it was able to make ground on Orcein.  He said for this reason, rather than fighting his mount to shift out, he remained racing behind that runner, however, he felt through this stage of the race Tunero was giving its best and was not making any ground on Orcein.  He added that, when Orcein shifted in slightly near the 100m, Tunero secured a clear run to its outside and only took minimum ground off Orcein in the run to the finish.
