Greysful Glamour and Sweet Deal went stride for stride in their 1000m Group 1 and Listed Trial on the Course Proper at Randwick on Thursday.
The dashing Stratum grey under Rachael King with Sweet Deal (Casino Prince) and Tom Marquand inside went to the line together with an official margin of a nose to Greysful Glamour.
They left the rest behind by 2L with Prince Fawaz (Fastnet Rock) well held by Nash Rawiller in third followed by Pancho with Tim Clark and Happy Clapper coming home well for fifth under Tommy Berry.
The time on the Soft 5 track was 59.59 with the final 600m in 34.30.
The second Group and Listed trial was over 900m with duel The Everest winner Redzel (Snitzel) leading all the way and easing out under Kerrin McEvoy to a 1 1/2L margin over the final 50m over Quackerjack (Not A Single Doubt) and Josh Parr.
California Zimbol (I Am Invincible) and Brenton Avdulla were third, the margin 1/2L. The two three-year-old fillies, Libertini and Funstar, has easy trials finishing fifth and sixth respectively.
The time was 52.52 and the final 600m in 33.70.
