Free children's entertainment at Randwick on Saturday

Australian Turf Club invites the public to enjoy food and fun, rides and excitement this Saturday, 7 July, for Randwick Community Race Day.

Families will be entertained by the free activities running throughout the day, including; the I Love Bubbles show, a Fairy Princess, jumping castles, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides and a rock climbing wall.

Guests will be able to get their complimentary popcorn and fairy floss from the Octagonal Lawn and watch a special performance by Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Turtle Power and Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol – Ready for Action Show, followed by a meet and greet with junior fans.

A footy zone will be located on the Centennial Lawn where South Sydney Rabbitohs will host an inflatable pass the ball game, merchandise van and an appearance from the team mascot.

Members of the Australian Men’s Rugby Sevens team will also be at the Centennial Lawn running a ball skills clinic and will be available for a photo opportunity between 11.30am and 12.30pm.

Team Captain Lewis Holland and Vice-Captain Jesse Parahi will present the trophy for the racing highlight of the day, the $100,000 Wallaby Cup over 1800m.

Chris Waller-trained Dagny leads the market as the $4.80 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the Wallaby Cup having been successful over the distance on two occasions.

Stablemates Vaucluse Bay and last start winner Chatelard both sit on the second line of betting at $5.50 TAB Fixed Odds.

Entry is free to South Sydney Rabbitohs members, Rugby Australia members and Randwick City Council residents.

The first race is at 11.35am and last race at 4.30pm. Gates open at 10.30am.

Free car parking is available at the racecourse and buses will run between Eddy Avenue at Central Station and Royal Randwick racecourse.
