Jordan Childs was examined by the doctor after the running of Race 9 and was stood down from fulfilling his remaining engagement.

Due to pending storm weather, this race was rescheduled from 11.30am to 11.40am.

Tranquil Miss - late withdrawal at 11.24am due to the track downgrade. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on Tranquil Miss to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to 11.24am are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: win bets - 1 cent, place bets (for winner) - 2 cents, place bets (for 2nd) - 2 cents, place bets (for 3rd) - 1 cent and double bets - 1 cent.

Journeygirl - after being fractious in its starting stall underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race and this delayed the start of the race. Near the 500m was steadied when tightened for room between Mamzelle Tess, which shifted out slightly, and Palazzo Vecchio which shifted in.

Aeecee Tong De - connections advised would be ridden more forward; led the field. Rider Stephen Baster reported that the mare would be better suited on a firmer track. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities other than a slow recovery.

Shokora - slow to begin.

Palazzo Vecchio - began awkwardly.

Lady Silhouette - raced four wide without cover. A post race veterinary examination identified the presence of blood at both nostrils. The mare shall not without permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months thereafter; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000m in the presence of a Steward.

The start of this race was rescheduled from 12.05pm to 12.10pm.

Sin To Win (NZ) - rider Dwayne Dunn was of the view that the gelding may be at the end of its preparation. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Jim Crowley (Khulaasa) - pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the carelessness being that near the 1000m, he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of Jen Rules resulting in that filly having to steady to avoid the heels of Khulaasa. Jim Crowley had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of ten race meetings, commencing November 8th and expiring on November 18th. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account his guilty plea and good record and that the carelessness was in the mid-range. The Cliffsofmoher (IRE) - passing the winning post on the first occasion, suffered a catastrophic racing injury and was eased out of the event; Avilius (GB) and Cross Counter (GB) which were following were hampered as a consequence. The horse was humanely euthanised and the incident will be referred to the Equine Welfare Department.

Hugh Bowman had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of twelve race meetings. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account his guilty plea and good record and that the carelessness was in the mid-range.

Hugh Bowman (Marmelo (GB)) - pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip twelve times prior to the 100m, which is seven times more than permitted.
