Champagne Cuddles under Blake Shinn for Bjorn Baker won the feature $200,000, Group 2 Yarraman Park Breeders’ Classic (1200m) at Warwick Farm on Saturday with a smooth, progressive run that gained the mare the valuable Group 2 win and took her stakes earnings to $1,074,175.
Shinn settled the four-year-old Not A Single Doubt mare in third and then as they entered the main straight he sent her on a path up the middle of the track to take the lead and then hold out the challengers for the rest of the trip.

Racing in her typically low ground hugging style Champagne Cuddles never looked like she was going to give the win up and at the line she had a long head over Cool Passion (Not A Single Doubt) and Tommy Berry who had chased for the length of the straight.
Allassio (Foxwedge) and Tim Clark were third, the margin 1 1/2L, with Egyptian Symbol fourth.
The time was 1.12.11 on the Soft 7 track with the final 600m in 35.02. Champagne Cuddles paid $2.50 on both fixed odds and the tote as the favourite.
“She has been a super horse and that takes her earnings over a million dollars. She did everything right and I think she is better on top of the ground,” said Baker.
“It has been a great team effort, it has been a busy month and I have been away a lot. Jack Bruce and Jason my foreman have looked after her really well.
“She is just a pleasure to train, she has the greatest nature, so relaxed and she is such a lovely mare. I am very lucky to her through Stuart Ramsey and the Champagne ladies. They are great to train for, great fun and she is a special horse that is for sure,” he said.
Champagne Cuddles, out of the Snippets mare Sky Cuddle, was winning for the fourth time and she has placed ten times from 16 starts for the Champagne Ladies managed by Mrs MJ Hardy.
