Centurion Meech bags four at Kilmore

Victoria's leading jockey Linda Meech put on yet another clinic at bet365 Park Kilmore on Thursday, chalking up four winners to reach a milestone this season.

After booting home three of the first four winners on the card - she was flashing for a narrow second in the other race - Meech clicked over to 100 winners this Australian season.

All bar three of her tally - which clicked up to 101 with the win of Salty Kisses later in the day - have come in her home state, in which she tops the premiership on 98 winners - ahead of Damian Lane (89).

To go with her four winners, she was charging late for two very narrow runner-up results too in a sublime day in the saddle.

Meech's hard work doesn't stop with riding horses either - she revealed after completing the early treble that she also puts a fair bit of work into her Stawell property too.

"Yesterday I think I planted 28 trees!" Meech said.

A green thumb off the track, four thumbs up on it on Thursday.

Meech is fast approaching her personal-best season tally of 127 Australia-wide winners, set in 2016-17. Incidentally, her four-timer saw her tally of winners from the 2008-09 season to the current day hit 1000.

It marked the sixth time Meech has hit triple figures in winners in a racing season.
