Georgina Cartwright's first Sydney metropolitan ride is also a good chance of being her first Sydney metropolitan winner, with the in-form apprentice partnering cult hero Jungle Edge at Randwick on Saturday.
Mick Bell's well-known mudlark looks likely to get his desired conditions, with the Randwick track rated a Heavy 9 a day out from the 1200-metre race.
The Geelong-based apprentice told RSN927's Racing Pulse program on Friday morning that she is thrilled to get a chance to ride at Randwick and again partner the fan-favourite.
"Very excited, it's a great opportunity, can't wait to get up there," said Cartwright.
"A lot of confidence, obviously the heavier the better with him."
Jungle Edge is the firm favourite for Saturday's Elite Haulage Handicap and the mature-age apprentice said that while it's admittedly the biggest ride of her career so far she's confident the pair can again perform.
"I'm not nervous, I'm just more excited than nervous, heading up by myself just making a day trip of it but I'm sure it will be a great day," she said.
"He's pretty straightforward, obviously he jumps pretty well and he travels pretty strongly in the run."
The 3kg-claiming apprentice is hoping a win on Saturday could provide her with more metropolitan opportunities in both Melbourne and Sydney.
"Hopefully it's a kick-starter," she exclaimed.
"I've had two rides on him now, he was my first city winner at Sandown and I've ridden him since then and run third on him so it will be good to reunite with him."
