Inspections for Sedgefield and Huntingdon with frosts forecast
07 Dec 2017 | Racingpost.com

Sedgefield's meeting on Friday is subject to a 7am inspection, while Huntingdon will check at the same time on Sunday for its Betfred-backed Peterborough Chase fixture that day.

The going at Sedgefield is described as soft, good to soft in places, but the forecast of low temperatures on Thursday night into Friday morning has prompted officials to call an inspection.

That is the same problem facing Huntingdon's clerk of the course Jack Pryor and his team in advance of the track's showpiece meeting.

They will cover the course with fleece on Thursday with frosts forecast.

Like Sedgefield, Exeter is due to race on Friday and officials noted on Thursday morning they would "monitor forecasts and announce any inspections if needed".
