Vega Magic in the sight of punters for Goodwood

Former Perth galloper Vega Magic has been well backed with to win the $1m, Group 1 Darley Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville on Saturday.

“Last week he was backed from $11 into $7.50 and he is now a $6.50 equal second elect,” TAB’s Nick Quinn said.

“Now with the all-conquering Lindsay Park team, Vega Magic has won seven times from 10 starts over 1200 metres and has the services of champion jockey Craig Williams.”

Vega Magic carries 56.5kg under Williams with barrier six.

Defending champion Black Heart Bart heads the market at $3.50 while Malaguerra has firmed from $10 into $8 with a bet of $2000 the win and $1000 the place at $10/$3.25.
