Support continues for Aloisia (NZ) as Oaks favourite

The support for the Aaron Purcell trained Azamour filly Aloisia (NZ) as favourite for the 1m, Group 1 Kennedy Oaks (2500m) at Flemington today at 4.00pm continued earlier in the day with another large wager of $20,000 at $1.60 placed.

TAB.com.au reported the wager as well as multiples as follows:

$9,000 Treble @ $5.53 on Winx (Cox Plate; was $1.15) | Interlocuter (Randwick Race 9 on Saturday; was $1.85) | Aloisia (VRC Oaks; was $2.60) {placed on October 26; two days before the Cox Plate};

$10,000 Treble @ $18.21 on Ball Of Muscle (Flemington Race 6 Today) | Aloisia (VRC Oaks) | Chautauqua (Saturday’s Darley Classic) {placed on November 7}

Other wagers on Aloisia, the dominant winner of the Group 1 Thousand Guineas over 1600m at Caulfield on October 14th and the Group 2 MV Vase over 2040m at The Valley on October 28th, include  2,000 @ $1.70, $1,565 @ $1.70, $1,500 @ $1.70, $1,040 @ $1.70, $1,000 @ $1.70, $20,000 @ $1.65, $1,000 @ $1.65 multiple times, $1,200 @ $1.60, $3,000 @ $1.55, $2,000 @ $1.55, $1,000 @ $1.55 multiple times.

The Waterhouse and Bott trained Pinot is the second favourite at $6.00 with John Sargent’s Luvaluva (NZ) at $8.50.
