Four emergencies for The TAB Everest
10 Oct 2017 | ThoroughbredNEWS News Desk

Racing NSW and the Australian Turf Club have announced the selection of four emergencies to be on stand-by for the richest race on turf in the world, the $10 million The TAB Everest to be run at Royal Randwick this Saturday (14th October).

The four horses currently entered for the Sydney Stakes and ranked in racebook order are: In Her Time, Trapeze Artist, Takedown and Ball of Muscle.

In the event of a scratching from the main field, slot owners will be given the chance to choose any one of the emergencies. The emergencies were selected by a joint RNSW and ATC panel after final acceptances were taken on Tuesday morning for the Sydney Stakes.

Should an emergency runner be required, that horse will jump from the original barrier of the withdrawn horse.
