RACE 7 – ANZ Bloodstock News Handicap 1300m

Bravissimo– when questioned, trainer Mr L Bridge stated that he had asked App R Hunt to ride the horse prominently, which was consistent with the manner in which he had asked App B Ryan to ride the gelding at its previous start at Canterbury on 12 September 2018.  He said that to the best of his recollection, the amount of pressure that should be applied to the gelding to race prominently was not discussed with App Hunt, however he did impress upon her that she should not be overly vigorous in order to comply with his wishes.  He said in his view, App Hunt may have misinterpreted that component of the instructions.
