Sydney Summer weather watch

The latest forecast leading into Saturday's meeting at Rosehill as the next heatwave approaches the Sydney metropolitan area.

Two weeks ago the Saturday meeting at Warwick Farm was transferred as a precaution to Randwick-Kensington due to temperatures expected to reach 39c with thunderstorms. That level of temperature did not eventuate and fortunately a cool southerly chance also arrived in Sydney mid-afternoon dropping the Randwick temperature by some 10c during the race programme.
