Real Feeling Hampered at the start when tightened for room by Away Game.

Divine Caprice Began awkwardly. Steadied approaching the 800 metres after being brushed by Hard Rock Girl, which shifted out when over racing. Eased down over the concluding stages. Rider Luke Nolen reported that in his opinion, the filly had come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

Geist Sprawled shortly after the start.

Away Game Became unbalanced at the 600 metres when racing greenly on the inside of Dubai Star.

Hard Rock Girl Steadied near the 900 metres to avoid the heels of Dubai Star, which was shifting in.

Race 2 LADBROKES SANDOWN CUP - 3200 metres:

Haky (IRE) Change of tactics To be ridden with cover. Led. Rider Jordan Childs reported that it was the intention to settle with cover, however, after beginning well from the wide barrier he was left with no alternative other than to allow the gelding to stride and obtain the lead.

Sound (GER) Change of tactics To be ridden more forward. Began awkwardly. Got its head up when racing keenly passing the 1600 metres and as a result shifted to the three wide position passing the 1400 metres until settling outside Haky (IRE) approaching the 1000 metres. Post-race endoscopy detected a degree of internal exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage that may have affected the horses racing performance. A veterinary clearance is required prior to being permitted to race again.

Saunter Boy (FR) Rider Jye Mc Neil reported the gelding raced keenly in the early stages and as a result failed to finish off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Mr Exclusive Ben Allen was severely reprimanded for breaching the provisions of AR190(3), in that he was unable to fulfil his engagement due to being overweight.

Travimyfriend Began awkwardly. When questioned in relation to the change of tactics today rider Michael Dee explained that after beginning only fairly and being caught wide in the early stages, he elected to ease his mount to gain cover rather than stride and use the gelding.

William Thomas Over raced passing the 1200 metres, got its head up and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Widgee Turf. Held up for clear running from the 500 metres until passing the 300 metres.

Widgee Turf Rider Billy Egan advised that he was instructed to be one pair closer than normal but after having begun well and with the slow early tempo he settled further forward than anticipated. He added that Widgee Turf would be better suited on a track with more give. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame right hind. A veterinary clearance is required prior to being permitted to race again.

Music Bay Rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Gold Fields Rider Stephen Baster was fined $1,000 for breaching the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account that he won the race, the totality of his whip use and good record.
