RANDWICK

RACE ONE
Seasons was pretty solid in the market for the UNSW Handicap (1200 metres).
The Les Bridge runner hovered around the $6-$7 mark for most of the day before jumping at the latter price. Misteed was the big mover on the day, going $4.80-$4 at one point before starting $4.20.
Kylease was $3.10 on Wednesday and backed into $2.30 at one stage today before getting to $2.70 late. She held the most money in front of Misteed with very little separating the pair in terms of the hold.

RACE TWO
The TAB Highway (1000 metres) was a very competitive betting affair as is always the case.
Moore Euros ($8-$6.50) was a notable firmer late and ended up the third most popular runner in terms of money held. Only Zardoro ($5-$6.50) and Calescent ($7-$6.50) held more.

RACE THREE
Morton's Fork shortened up late to win the Christmas Cup (2400 metres).
The Richard Litt-trained runner was $10 at 9am this morning and had drifted all week after opening a $6.50 chance.
By the time the race jumped, TAB customers had backed Morton's Fork but into its starting quote. High Bridge ($4.40) was $9.50 earlier in the week and held the most money while Miss Moana ($3.70) was popular today.

RACE FOUR
Wild Ruler defied a late drift in betting to win the Inglis Nursery (1000 metres).
The Team Snowden runner was a sharp firmer overnight and went from $5.50 on Wednesday into $2.80 this morning. In the final five minutes of betting though, the son of Snitzel blew out to $3.50 and just held favouritism from the second best supported runner, Dubai Star ($4-$3.70).
Encountabull ($5) drifted throughout the week but still held more money than any other runner.

RACE FIVE
The late money was spot on in the CES Handicap (1100 metres).
Superium was $3.70 in the morning but in the final minutes of betting went $3.30-$2.90-$3 to narrowly miss out on favouritism from Splintex ($2.80).
Superium was the most popular runner in terms of money held and was responsible for 35 percent of the total investment.

RACE SIX
Favourite backers were cheering when Signore Fox arrived in time to win the Fugen Construction Razor Sharp Handicap (1200 metres).
The Team Snowden runner was responsible for 38 percent of the money and was more than twice as popular as anything else in the event.
TAB had offered as much as $7.50 earlier in the week but punters were quick to take the price. Today, he was $3.10 in the morning and only got out to $3.20 at the jump.
Bon Amis ($9-$7) and Passage Of time ($9) had admirers at the price while Multaja ($3.80-$4.80) was a drifter.

RACE SEVEN
Quackerjack defied a late drift to land the Quincy Seltzer Villiers Stakes (1600 metres).
The Mark Newnham-trained runner bottomed out at $3 earlier in the week and today was $3.10 out to $3.80, however, the drift in price only occurred in the last five minutes.
Invincible Gem ($15-$11-$13) had good backing at the eachway odds while Bobbing ($6.50) had strong backing all week after opening at $11.

RACE EIGHT
One of the best moves all day came in the Heineken 3 Handicap (1600 metres).
Berdibek was a big firmer, going from $14 in the morning into $5 at the jump - slashing its price significantly from the $17 which was first on offer earlier in the week.
Matowi ($8-$7.50-$9) had some eachway money riding on it while Cutadeel ($5) was very solid in betting. Strome ($3-$4.20), despite getting out, was easily the most popular runner in the race and held more than 3.5 times what the winner did

RACE NINE
Something Fast delivered the goods for TAB customers in the final event on the card.
The Anthony Cummings-trained runner was by far and away the most popular horse in the TAB Long May We Play Handicap (1400 metres), going around as a $5 chance but with 50 percent more money than the original fav in Phaistos and Petronius ($4.20 fav).
Charretera ($11-$5.50) was a big go late.

FLEMINGTON

RACE ONE
Conceited was a good go late in the #lovethehorse (1100 metres).
The Godolphin runner was $4.40-$3.50 fav and landed several big bets while Unstoppabelle went $3.20-$4.40 but still held more than anything else.
Zeppa ($7.50-$4.40-$4.80) was the other one of note as punters backed it in from eachway odds.

RACE TWO
Punters were burnt again by Bam's On Fire which could only manage third in the Off The Track Program Sprint (1100 metres).
Sent around as a hot $2 favourite, Bam's On Fire accounted for 61 percent of the total investment and was nearly four times as popular as anything else.
Our Campana was $4.40-$5 but once it got to the latter quote it was very solid and attracted a few bets.

RACE THREE
Living The Dream lost favouritism late in betting but still got the job done in the Christmas Giving Tree Plate (1720 metres).
Going $3-$3.70 throughout the day, Living The Dream was usurped for favouritism by Westbrook Park which was hovering between $3.30-$3.70 through the day but ended up jumping $3.40.
Sovereign Award ($4.40-$5) got out late while there was specking for Gelignite Jack ($15-$9-$10).

RACE FOUR
The late money told the story in the December Twilight Handicap (1400 metres).
Wings Of Pastrami was one of the better tried runners in the race, however, a good portion of the money he was carrying on TAB Fixed Odds was invested in the final 10 minutes of betting.
The filly was $9.50 in the morning in the minutes leading up to the jump went $8-$6 off the back of several decent investments.
Evening Glory was a nice go at odds and after being $14 at 9am was $9.50 after bottoming out at $8. Tycoon Bella ($4.40) went around with the most money while St Joeys ($5) jumped second pick in the market after opening at double figures.

RACE FIVE
Halvorsen went around as the most popular runner in the Living Legends Trophy (1100 metres).
The Robbie Griffiths-trained runner went around with 45 percent of the total investment and was a losing result for TAB.
It was more than two times as popular as anything else in the vent. Holbein ($10-$4.60) was the most notable firm in the event.

RACE SIX
Favourite backers were sent packing in the Flemington Family Lawn Handicap (1800 metres).
Talenti was crunched from $2.90 into $2 favourite and was one of the best supported runners across the country, going around with 56 percent of the total investment.
Such was the fav's popularity that it was 10 times as popular as the winner Ryan's Fender ($9-$12).
