Healy appeal set down for July 31st

Racing NSW advised on Monday that the appeal by Strathalbyn trainer Kym Healy against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR178E(1), AR178AB(1)(a) and AR175(l) will be held on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018.

Following a Stewards inquiry on Monday, 4 June 2018 into the circumstances requiring the late withdrawal of Aussie Jack from its engagement in the Outback Cup conducted at Broken Hill on 17 March 2018, Stewards imposed a penalty of six months disqualification in respect of offences under AR178E(1), AR178AB(1)(a), to be served concurrently, commencing on 4 June 2018 and expiring on 4 December 2018, and imposed a penalty of four months disqualification in respect of offences under AR175(l) commencing on 4 December 2018 and expiring on 4 April 2019.

Two applications from Mr Healy for a Stay of Proceedings have been declined by the Appeal Panel's Principal Member/Convenor.
