Favouritism has not changed for Saturday’s $5m, Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) at Caulfield on Saturdy, but Finche (GB) has eased from $5 to $6 at TAB following the barrier draw on Wednesday.

Connections drew barrier 19, which includes emergencies, for the last-start runner-up of the TAB Turnbull Stakes at Flemington on October 5.

Prior to that, Finche – who finished third in last year’s Geelong Cup and fourth in the Melbourne Cup – was victorious in the Kingston Town Stakes atRandwick on September 7.

Japan’s Mer De Glace (JPN) has won his last five races but the five-year-old horse has eased from $7 to $8 after barrier 21 of 22 (including emergencies) was selected.

Mustajeer (GB) and Mr Quickie both remain $9 chances at TAB while Constantinople (IRE) is one galloper that fared well at the barrier draw and has subsequently firmed from $11 to $9 after connections drew barrier seven.

Vow And Declare resumed with a fourth-place finish in the TAB Turnbull Stakes at Flemington on October 5 and has stayed at $11.

Bets of $2,500 and $1,000 at $11 have been placed today on last June’s winner of the Tattersall’s Cup at Eagle Farm, which followed a runner-up finish to Mr Quickie in the Queensland Derby at Eagle Farm on June 8.
