Miss Norway When questioned regarding the tactics, rider Michael Dee stated that he was instructed to find cover on Miss Norway, however in doing so from the one barrier, he found himself further back than anticipated. He further explained that on straightening he was able to obtain a run to the inside, however, near the 200 metres when racing inside Heart Conquered, which shifted in at this point, he elected to switch his mount to the outside rather than try to hold this position. Stable representative, Ernie Marchant confirmed the instructions, although was surprised to see Miss Norway so far back in the field, however, given the circumstances they were satisfied with the ride.

Bandipur Raced wide without cover throughout. Rider Craig Williams reported that he was satisfied with how the gelding finished off the event after being obliged to travel wide rounding the home turn.
