2017 Makybe Diva Stakes: Tips and Race Preview

Tips and Race Preview finds the best rated runners. Hartnell is such a classy horse. He is $1.75 at Sportsbet in the 2017 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at 1 on Saturday.

Speed is up for grabs. Jon Snow was positive first up and can be again. Would think they will roll on with Hey Doc from out wide and he certainly has the pace to take it up and run them along. All of Hartnell, Black Heart Bart and Le Romain will want to find stalking positions behind the first couple.

HARTNELL was fairly clinical first up from a break and with Winx plying her trade up in Sydney he can claim to be the big dog in the Melbourne weight-for-age ranks. McEvoy is riding better than anyone else in the land at the moment and not expecting him to make any mistake here.

BLACK HEART BART has had a little cloud over him this prep but he ran particularly well in the Memsie and he's on track to return to something like his best now which makes him the biggest threat to Hartnell.

HEY DOC has the pace to get this on terms and should run well as should Le Romain who can be more positive than last time and improve.

1st – 1 Hartnell

2nd – 2 Black Heart Bart

3rd – 9 Hey Doc

4th – 3 Le Romain

2017 Danehill Stakes: Tips and Race Preview

Looking at the fillies in the Tips and Race Preview and Catchy does look good odds at $4 at Sportsbet in the 2017 Danehill Stakes (1200m) at 1 on Saturday.

Plenty of pace on paper. Overshare, Plutocracy and Esperance are all up there and Jukebox, Booker and Al Passem look to settle handy.

CATCHY gets her chance to find her feet and wind up over the top of them. She's excelled in strongly run races in the past and has the ability to really power to the line. Class act and despite defeat her return run said that she had come back in good order.

BOOKER was terrific first up and can come on for that. She ran really well here on debut down the straight course and she won't have to come on leaps and bounds to pose a threat to Catchy.

LIMESTONE has form around Catchy and her first up run was okay given that she clearly needed the hit out. Can see her improving. Jukebox and Overshare are fringe hopes off last start wins.

1st – 6 Catchy

2nd – 11 Booker

3rd – 10 Limestone

4th – 2 Jukebox

2017 Let’s Elope Stakes: Tips and Race Preview

It looks a tight race and hence the Tips and Race Preview for the 2017 Let’s Elope Stakes at Flemington on Saturday gives a few a fair chance.

I Am A Star does race well here and is $4.60 at Sportsbet in the 2017 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) at 1 on Saturday.

Lovani and Schism look two that will get rolling early. Have to think that I AM A STAR will be right there today. Drawn to be positive and we've seen her be positive in winnable races in the past. Big tumble back in grade from the Memsie where she was okay. Fresh run said she was going well and with a bit in her favour today she's the one to beat.

Don't think there is a great deal between her and OREGON'S DAY and won fairly stylishly last time and can come right on again third up in an early target race for her.

SWAMPLAND ran a cracker behind her there and is clearly up to this level based on that. She's in the zone at the moment and makes plenty of appeal here given that. Written Era looks like peaking and being competitive again.

1st – 1 I Am A Star

2nd – 3 Oregon’s Day

3rd – 11 Swampland

4th – 17 Written Era

2017 Bobbie Lewis Quality: Tips and Race Preview

Tips and Race Preview finds the Newmarket Hcp form lines. Voodoo Lad can get some revenge and is $3.90 at Sportsbet in the 2017 Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) at 1 on Saturday.

Expecting a building tempo. Scales Of Justice is a natural front running type and he has the pace to be at the head of these. Blinkers are on Saracino who should be positive and the likes of Redkirk Warrior, Japonisme and Attention can all take up handy spots.

VOODOO LAD looked terrific first up. Raced a touch keen but once he knuckled down he put the race away very quickly. Might be better than ever and that can see him turn the tables on his Newmarket conqueror REDKIRK WARRIOR. He won that Newmarket first up and this was probably an early target with that in mind. Sure to run well.

SCALES OF JUSTICE will measure right up in the east. This isn't his Grand Final but tipping we see him run well all the same and no shock to see him win it. So Si Bon has been going really well and has to be respected.

1st – 4 Voodoo Lad

2nd – 3 Redkirk Warrior

3rd – 2 Scales Of Justice

4th – 6 Japonisme
