Rail: True
Horses previewed in numerical order
Race 8             Rating 70 2100m
10 RANDY ANDY – Cameron Lammas
He did his best work in close quarters near the line over a mile at Te Rapa on Good3, same rider, at his third start following a spell. At his only course attempt he made good ground for second to impressive winner Lady Chaparral on good footing. His dam, Singing Star, impressed winning over 2100m and to 2400m, so the step up in distance should be ideal.
She drops back in grade after finishing fifth to Little Alfie Brown at Te Rapa over 2000m on Good3 at her third start following a spell. She recorded a course-distance Maiden win on good footing and has shown enough at times to make her presence felt in this line-up, with a trip to suit.
13 LA BELLE EPOQUE – Jason Collett
Following a good trip at Matamata over a mile she only battled in the straight when second up from a spell with this rider aboard. She won her Maiden at a similar time last season over a mile before displaying her appreciation for middle distance racing with a strong second to Mary’s Book over 2100m at Ellerslie. She is drawn to receive all favours and could threaten if able to recapture her best form.
