The Breeze Ups for New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds were concluded on Tuesday, with a total of 448 well educated youngsters filmed and timed over the final 200 metres of Te Rapa racecourse.
Waikato Racing Club's track recorded a Dead 6 on Monday with the fine weather drying it out to be rated a Dead 5 with a penetrometer reading of 3.1 today, which resulted in slightly faster Day Two times.
The fastest two breeze up times were provided by Kilgravin Lodge with Lot 303 a bay colt by Ishiguru from Glee Club stopping the clock in 10.08 seconds, the quickest of the two days.
Lyndhurst Farm presented Lot 295, a brown colt by Encosta de Lago from the Group 1 winning mare Foxwood, with a breeze up time of 10.58 seconds he is also a half brother to Group 3 winner Rockwood.
Partnering him in Heat 120 was Lot 90, an Elusive City bay colt from the Zabeel mare Sunshine Gold, with a smart breeze up time of 10.57 seconds.
A son of Stratum, Lot 433 is out of the race winning mare Monterosso. Offered by Esker Lodge, this bay colt completed the 200 metres in 11.09.
