Warwick Farm trainer Gary Portelli on Thursday signaled a new start for his Golden Slipper winning filly She Will Reign with her new campaign to commence on her home course on February 10th.
She Will Reign will race in the $250,000, 2018 Inglis Sprint (1200m), a race for three-year-old Inglis sale graduates, and then the Manhattan Reign filly will travel to Melbourne for the $500,000, Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield on February 24th.
“She is well placed at 54kg,” said Portelli about the Warwick Farm start.
She Will Reign is no stranger to Inglis bonuses having collected $291,100 in her second start in the Inglis Nursery over 1000m at Randwick on December 17th, 2016, for her Darby Racing syndicate.
She was last seen when racing in The Everest over 1200m at Randwick on October 14th finishing 11th.
She Will Reign starts her summer campaign with five wins from seven starts and stakes of $3,034,150.
The Warwick Farm meeting on the 10th also has the Group 2 Breeders Classic (1200m), Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m), listed Lonhro Plate (1100m) and 2018 Inglis Classic (1200m) for two-year-old’s.
