RV stewards lift Vasil entries ban
Racing Victoria stewards have lifted a ban on runners from the Tony Vasil stable after the Group 1-winning trainer complied with an order to be interviewed about the ongoing Lovani investigation.
Stewards invoked the ban on Vasil's nominations under AR50 earlier this month when the trainer denied their initial invitation to attend an interview. Chief Steward Terry Bailey confirmed the removal of the ban on Saturday.
Vasil saddled up Teardrops at Cranbourne on Friday night and will be represented by Kedleston at Mornington on Monday.
The investigation into the alleged raceday treatment of the Robert Smerdon-trained Lovani on October 7 remains ongoing.
