Joao Moreira and Chad Schofield permitted to ride in Australia

The Hong Kong Jockey Club advised on Friday that permission has been granted for Club Jockeys Joao Moreira and Chad Schofield to be absent from Hong Kong in order to partner Wicklow Brave (GB), trained by Willie Mullens, and Harlem (GB), trained by the Hayes and Dabernig stable, respectively in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) at the Caulfield on Saturday, 21 October 2017.

Moreira and Schofield will return to Hong Kong immediately following the meeting to fulfil their riding engagements at the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 22 October 2017.

In other news the Licensing Committee has agreed to grant, subject to the usual formalities, a Club Jockey’s licence to Alexis Badel for the period 1 November 2017 until 31 January 2018, both dates inclusive.
