Godolphin's trainer James Cummings comments on the stable's runners in the $500,000, Group 1 Schweppes Thousand Guineas (1600m) and $2m, Group 1 Ladbrokes Caulfield Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

“I couldn’t be much happier with the way she handled Caulfield this morning. Her work was perfect.
“She got around the track without any trouble and the change of scenery will keep her stimulated.
“She’s deep into her preparation but that doesn’t bother me too much. She has enough condition on her to allow her to hold her form from her last start which was a fabulous effort.
“Everything I’ve asked of her, she has done.
“She started her prep in really cold condition at Osborne Park and it’s taken her plenty of time to shake off her winter coat.
“We’re taking on the Melbourne fillies on their home patch, but we’re happy with the way she’s arrived and we’re looking forward to the challenge.
“She came out of the Flight Stakes better than from the Tea Rose at her previous start.
“The small field in the Thousand Guineas will be in her favour, but ultimately she will need to make her own luck at some stage.

“He’s a three-year-old who is still on the way up. He’s had a really attractive grounding for the 1600m third-up and I loved his Guineas trial in the Prelude when he warmed to the task late in the race. I thought it was a beautiful trial.
“Since then he’s gone ahead and comes to his grand final race in top condition.
“The race has brought together a field of very good colts and filly who has very good form, but that’s what you expect in a Guineas and I think he has the quality and the form to be in there with them.
“This is the race we’ve set him for and he’s ready to run well despite coming up with a slightly tricky barrier (10).
SANCTIONED (AUS) - 3yo Colt by Teofilo (IRE) out of Aforethought (AUS)
“He’s a horse who copes with his racing really well. From a wide barrier in the Champion Stakes last Saturday it didn’t unfold the way we wanted it to.
“He got back in a slowly-run race and motored home well from the back of the field which isn’t his pattern.
“The good thing is that he’s got form around all the important horses, he’s got form around Ace High, Gold Standard and he defeated the Golden Rose winner first up.
“So I like him coming back to 1600m here. The draw will be an obstacle, but I can see him acquitting himself well despite that.
